The first house in Kirkland on the east side was where Matthew Case lived with his protegy - poor "Lord Harrowby." Harrowby was always dressed in spotless attire, hence his title: and spent his time in flicking off the dust from his black cloth suit and hat, or in rushing up and down in front of his house in pursuit of some imaginary foe, returning with the full pride of a conquering hero.
