Caroline Street

Extending between it's junction with the north side of Windermere Road (after No.9 passing Cross Street on the right and Strickland Court on the left (the old Workhouse and later Kendal Green Hospital, now housing) it joins Green Road and Horncop Lane opposite Kendal Green.

Named for Queen Caroline (wife of George IV) it was built around 1819-1820. On November 20 and 21 in 1918 there were illuminations in her honour in the town.
