A road extending east from it's junction with Finkle Street, Branthwaite Brow and Stramongate to join New Road.

Kent Lane This lane was also very narrow, but greatly widened by public sibscription in 1818. Here formerly stood the beer-house called the "Canal Tavern". The "Kent Tavern" is a house probably opened about the same time as the Canal in 1819.
